Meet our new meerkats
If you have ever seen a group of meerkats, you know how special these animals are. They are known for their social nature and clever cooperation. Did you know that in the wild, meerkats always live in groups, also called a clan called? Within such a group, each meerkat has its own task.
While part of the group is looking for food, there is always at least one meerkat on the lookout. This “watchman” keeps an eye on the surroundings with his sharp gaze. At the slightest danger – such as a bird of prey – he sounds the alarm with a specific sound. The rest of the group then immediately knows that it is time to take shelter. Clever, right?
Our new meerkats are busy exploring their surroundings. They are digging, climbing, playing with each other and of course keeping watch. The only thing missing is some fun names for these adventurous little ones. That's where you come in!
