Description
The Emerald Long-tailed Lizard originates from the Ryukyu Islands in Japan, where they live in bushes, trees and tall grass. These beautiful lizards are about 25 cm long with their tail being 80% of the total length. The males have brown flanks with a white stripe below. The females are completely green and have a thin white stripe across the flanks. The Lizards can be kept in small groups as long as there is only one male in the group.
Diet
The food of these lizards consists of small insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, small wax moth larvae, curlicues and fruit flies. It is important to have a good vitamin and mineral preparation to use.
